Adding Saucy Mama products to this recipe really enhances the flavors. Saucy Mama Jamaican Jerk Sauce has a unique and distinct flavor that goes great on a variety of meat. Topping this recipe off with Saucy Mama Orange Habanero Sauce was a must! With just the perfect spice and flavor, these stuffed dill pickles are amazing!
Cooking instructions:
1. Make sure to wash your hands and utensils after handling raw meat. Wearing food safe gloves is suggested.
2. Prep the batter, set aside or in the refrigerator until later use.
3. Choose 8 dill pickles slightly larger than an apple core. Hollow out the middle and discard (or place back into pickle jar to eat.) Now the fun part! Place the hollowed out pickles onto your fingers. Wrap the bacon around the pickles and secure with a toothpick. After all 8 pickles are wrapped in raw bacon, place them on a plate in the refrigerator until later use.
4. Brown the hamburger and onions in a cast iron skillet on medium-high heat. Add Saucy Mama Jamaican Jerk Sauce to the meat. Cook thoroughly then add the cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Reduce heat to simmer and mix well.
5. Heat up the vegetable oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Stuff the bacon-wrapped dill pickles with the Saucy Mama Jamaican Jerk marinated hamburger mixture until full. Dip each pickle into the batter then fry for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove carefully and let cool. Remove toothpicks. Add Saucy Mama Orange Habanero Sauce to the final product and dig in!
This is my entry for the 2015 Saucy Mama food contest in the bacon category. I really enjoyed creating this recipe and cooking with these two sauces. Very unique flavoring with each sauce I received.
